Arlington, Virginia.And January 24, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The Air Force Association is now accepting applications for scholarships for 2022, making them more available than $100,000 In academic scholarships and flight training for members of the Air and Space Force and their spouses and children. Applications must be submitted at www.afa.org/education/scholarships on or before April 30, 2022. The results will be announced this summer.
AFA scholarships are supported by donors who seek to help students achieve their dreams through advanced education. AFA offers 11 scholarship programs:
Colonel Aaron Burgstein Memorial Scholarship
Advance 1000 dollars Annually to one dependent minor of active, guard, reserve, veteran, or retired military personnel from any branch of service to earn a degree at an accredited college or university.
captain Judy Callahan Memorial Scholarship
Advance 2000 dollars For three members of the United States Air Force or United States Space Forces, whether on active duty, Guard or Reserve personnel, full-time, pursuing a master’s degree in a non-technical field.
Mike and Jill Donnelly Spouse Grants
Advance 2500 dollars Annually up to 14 US Air Force or Space Force spouses worldwide pursue higher education.
Lieutenant Colonel Romeo and Bass Ferretti Scholarship
Advance 5000 dollars To a single dependent minor of the United States Air Force or United States Space Forces, whether active, reserve, or Ranger, who is pursuing an undergraduate degree in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Colonel Lauren J and Mrs. Launa R. Scholarship Spencer
provides three 5000 dollars Scholarships for the United States Air Force or United States Space Forces (active, full-time guard or reserve, or civilian) to pursue graduate-level education in management and administration in preparation for high-level leadership roles.
John C and Blanche Lee Lindsey Memorial Scholarship
saves one 2500 dollars Scholarship for child members of the United States Air and Space Forces who are pursuing an undergraduate degree.
Doctor. Seidel Perlmutter Gold Memorial Scholarship
Provides renewable 5000 dollars Annual Scholarship (for a potential total scholarship of $20,000) for the daughter of one active, guard, or reserve U.S. Air Force or U.S. Space Force member pursuing a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Delta Dental Scholarships
provides five 2000 dollars Scholarships and grants for military spouses, military dependents, and transitional service members to advance oral health and wellness.
Trident University Full Scholarship
It offers five full scholarships to current AFA members pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at Trident University. Both current and prospective students are eligible.
Tuskegee Pilot Memorial Scholarship
Advance 1000 dollars For current and former members of the Air and Space Forces, Air National Guard, and Reserve, and their spouse or child to pursue a college degree or flight training.
Federal Pentagon Scholarships for Pilot Training
Advance Three AFA Members who are seeking a private pilot license even $10,000 towards aircraft and instructor rental fees applicable at a training facility of the recipient’s choice.
Destin Flightworks Pilot Training Scholarship
Funded by Vertol, this program provides ONE AFA Member of the year up to $10,000 toward pilot training courses, instructor fees, and aircraft rentals, leading to a private pilot license at Destin Flight Works School in Destin, Florida.
