Early Life And Education

Professor Sadiku Salawu started his secondary education from Okene Secondary School Upogo in 1975. And Thereafter he went to Federal Government College Sokoto for his HSC.

In abids to further his education He proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University Zaria to read Civil Engineering and graduated with 1st class in 1980. and he did his NYSC at University of Ilorin Kwara State.

Career

With the commonwealth scholarship, he went to University of Waterloo Canada. And finished both his Msc and Phd in two & half years, lectured in Canada for some years before returning to Nigeria. He was employed by Federal University of Technology Minna. He later left to join the management of Ajaokuta Steel Company.

After some years he went back to Federal University of Technology Minna. He was elevated to the Professorial chair about fifteen years ago.

Professor Sadiku Salawu was HOD, Dean of Engineering and later Dean of Postgraduate School until he was appointed by H.E Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello The Executive Governor of Kogi State to be the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the new Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara.
