ODEYIANI @25: Natasha Akpoti Bags Awards, Honors, Commendation Letters from Ebira Community in Kano/Jigawa

It was rain of awards and commendation on the former governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party in Kogi State, Barr. Natasha Hadiza Akpoti on the occasion of the 25th coronation Anniversary of the Odeyi’ani of Ebira Community in Kano and Jigawa State, His Highness Aliyu Abdulmalik.

The Anniversary which was attended by prominent Ebira people and personalities from other ethnic backgrounds within and outside Kano State, was held on Saturday November 6, 2021 at the multipurpose Sanni Abach Stadium, Indoor Sports Complex, Kafar Mata, Kano State.

Natasha Akpoti, who was represented by her perianal assistant, Hamza Lamisi, received several awards, honors and commendation letters for her humanitarian services and contribution to the development of Ebiraland, Kogi State.

Among others, Natasha bagged award of the Most Distinguished Woman presented to her by His Highness Aliyu Abdulmalik the Odeyi’ani Kano/Jigawa; Award of Excellence by Ibillo Youths Association, Kano, for her contribution towards the development of Ibillo Community in Edo State through the ongoing infrastructural development in Edo-Kogi axis; Letter of Appreciation for her positive transformation of Ihima, Ebiraland presented by the Ihima Welfare Association (IWA), Kano branch who equally decorated Natasha with Ebira attire.


Earlier on Friday November 5, Natasha donated a cow to the Ebira Community in felicitation with the people over the 25th Anniversary and the opening ceremony of Ebira House in Kano.

Presenting the awards and letters to Natasha, the Kano/Jigawa Odeyi’ani, Alh. Aliyu Abdulmalik who is also the Chairman Council of Odeyi’ani in diaspora and the Council of Northern Ethnic People, noted that Natasha has been of tremendous impact to Ebiraland and Kogi State at large. The Community leader expressed his appreciation to the philanthropist while assuring her of supports for her good works and dreams for Ebiraland and Kogi State.

Earlier in the day, Natasha through her representative, joined the Ebira community in the brief opening ceremony of the EBIRA HOUSE, KANO which was built through donations and voluntary efforts by the people.
